This designer flags common problems, but it does not check that the indoor and outdoor units are a matched refrigerant pair, and it does not size the vent — no diameter, no rise, no termination clearance. It is built for one indoor and one outdoor unit.
The calculation engine has not yet been checked against a reference tool on a real house. Treat every number here as a starting point to verify, not a finished answer.
Check the results before you act on them. Verify against the equipment data plate, the manufacturer's installation manual, and your own measurements. You are responsible for what you install — Cheek Heating & Cooling LLC is not liable for decisions made from this tool's output.
Before you use this tool
This tool produces design-assist estimates, not engineered drawings. It flags likely issues but does not substitute for a licensed installer's judgment. Field-verify everything — equipment sizing, venting, electrical, gas piping, clearances and combustion air — against the manufacturer's installation instructions and local code before installation.
Implements the ACCA Manual J 8 Abridged Edition calculation method — not part of any ACCA software-approval program. Not for permit or engineering submission unless reviewed and sealed by a licensed Professional Engineer.
HVAC system designer
Drag equipment onto the plan, connect it up (lineset, vent, condensate, power), and get a system spec + bill of materials. When you enter a flue material the tool flags a potential mismatch against the furnace class — an 80% furnace vents in metal, a 90%+ furnace vents in PVC. You are still responsible for verifying the vent system against the equipment's installation instructions and local code.
Estimating aid only. Material prices are rough placeholders, not quotes — verify against your distributor. Not an engineered mechanical drawing; confirm sizing, routing, and terminations against the manufacturer's install manual and your local code.
The job
Optional — paste the design loads from the load calculator and the tool will sanity-check equipment sizing. Use the total cooling load (sensible + latent) — that is what the load calculator reports and what the equipment sizing here compares against.

The tool still produced an output so you can see the design, but do not proceed until these are resolved. Verify against the manufacturer's install manual and local code.
